GEM MISSIONS

The Gender Election Monitoring Missions promote female leadership and inclusive governance within the framework on UNSRC 1325.

The Gender Election Monitoring Missions document and denounce any inequalities and discrimination against women that might prevent their full political involvement and contribution to a new government.

OUR TEAM

Gender Concerns International, together with its partner organisations, has pioneered a series of successful GEM Missions in several countries, including Pakistan (2008), Tunisia (2011), Morocco (2011) and Libya (2012).

GEM Missions are unique because they are organized, managed, and led by all female professionals and work to enhance women's participation in democratic processes.
